THE MIGHTY VEGGIE
For this student project, I was given the task of creating a menu for a made up restaurant based on its brand statement I created. The Mighty Veggie is a kid-friendly, vegetarian restaurant I made up that would serve organically grown ingredients that bring smiles to the entire family. When creating the menu, my goal was to create something fun, playful, and appealing for kids of all ages. I used bright colors and bold typography to catch my audience's attention and relate back to its wholesome ingredients.
MOOD BOARD
Before starting the process, I compiled a mood board to get the overall aesthetic and color of my menu. I knew I wanted to use vibrant colors to fit my kid-friendly restaurant so I stuck to bright and colorful vegetables as inspiration to bring a pop of color while referring back to its organically grown ingredients.
PROCESS
My process involved typographical experimentations with the name using big type to grasp kids’ attention. Breaking up the type allowed for the eye to move around the menu to make for a more interesting reading experience.
