tea FOR THE organic enthusiast
Thirstea is a student project tea brand for the organic hipster. On developing the concept for this brand, I knew I wanted it to speak to the suburban hipster community that values the organic, earthly ingredients put into it.
I started this project by pointing out what comes to mind when one thinks of hipster. Dandy, composed, minimal? By taking these adjectives that one would use to typically describe a hipster, I created the visual branding for Thirstea to be just that. Minimal visuals and delicate type. I also wanted my brand to speak to its ingredients by forming patterns that correspond to each flavor.
PROCESS AND BRAINSTORMING
Inspired by the organic forms of its ingredients (lavender, peppermint, and chamomile), my studies for this brand involved elegant flat shapes and patterns derived from parts of the ingredients. I began by carefully studying each of the three ingredients including tracing them to create unique patterns to which its flavor corresponds to. My overall concept for these patterns was to create a radiating effect.
